A new month means new additions to PlayStation’s streaming service PS Now. Want to know what’s joining the lineup for June? Well, look no further. Note to simulation fans and puzzler platformer fanatics: this month’s PS Now update will be of particular interest. Let’s get cracking.
Race, ride and farm with these sims
The former will have the opportunity to roar around race tracks in racing sim Assetto Corsa, soak in the scenery while pumping those thigh muscles in Tour de France 2017, or tackle agricultural management with Farming Simulator 17.
Explore forests, climb towers and more with these puzzle platformers
And if your tastes sway heavily towards the fantastical for your gaming delights, then there’s a healthy assortment of puzzle platforming experiences newly released on the platform. Maybe you want to try the gorgeous woodland romp, Seasons After Fall? If you want to keep the beauty of the natural world, but dial up the puzzle difficulty, then look to Toki Tori 2+. How about harnessing magnetism to make a perilous trek through a monster-filled tower in European steampunk tale of Teslagrad? If you prefer your folklore more traditional – and your puzzles click-based – then why not try out Grim Legends: The Forsaken Bride.
Fight demons, explore dungeons and blast your way to the leaderboards with these action games
Of course, all the above may be too serious – or slow – for you. Scratch that action itch of yours by playing one of the actual Horsemen of the Apocalypse, Death, in Darksiders: Warmastered Edition, unlocking new areas and abilities as you battle your way across a ravaged Earth.
Alternatively give your trigger finger a retro workout with the hardcore top-down blasting of ULTRATRON (we added the capitals, because this is the type of game name you need to shout in your best 80s announcer voice), or swap the sci-fi for dungeons and switch the view to first person in rogue-like Ziggurat.
Survive a wall of death with an RPG-flavoured speed run
Last, but no mean least is Mystery Chronicle: One Way Heroics, if only because of how confidentiality it stands outside typical genre descriptions. Try it to experience its fast-paced, one way take on the RPG formula. As you explore you’ll be continually chased by an all-consuming wall of light obliterating everything in its path, constantly scrolling the screen to the right. It’s fantasy adventuring with a ticking clock!
Games upgrading from PS3 to PS4 versions
In addition this month, Doki-Doki Universe, Sound Shapes and Unfinished Swan are all being upgraded to the PS4 versions, meaning a new range of Trophies to chase (or just a perfect excuse to try the games out if you haven’t before.)
