2. Lara Croft and Kratos vie for your attention on PS Plus in August

August’s PS Plus line-up went public this week, and there’s plenty to get excited about, including God of War: Ascension, Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris and smart side-scrolling sequel Stealth Inc 2: A Game of Clones.

3. N++ leaps nimbly onto PS4

It was a great week for new releases on PlayStation Store, with Metanet’s fleet-footed platformer leading the way. Ignore this game at your peril – there will be fewer more addictive titles released this year.

4. The annual PlayStation Store Summer Sale gets underway

Our regular summer blow-out kicked off this week, with discounts on the likes of Bloodborne, Project CARS and Dragon Age Inquisition. Look out for more deals to be added in the coming weeks.

7. Heaps of new content heading to PS Plus smash hit Rocket League

Sports mash-up Rocket League has been one of the most pleasing success stories of 2015 – a true GOTY contender that’s roared in seemingly from out of nowhere. So, news of a steady stream of add-on content (both paid and free) incoming in the coming weeks is very welcome indeed.

8. The Swindle sneaks onto PS4, PS3 and PS Vita

Also well worth your time and money this week is Dan Marshall’s hugely enjoyable procedurally-generated stealth game, boasting a delightful steampunk aesthetic and gameplay depth to spare.
