New update lets you download your favourite PS Now games onto your PS4

We are excited to announce that, starting today, PlayStation Now users will be able to download games onto their PS4, in addition to instantly streaming them.

Hundreds of PS4 games including Bloodborne, God of War 3 Remastered, LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham, DiRT Rally and Farming Simulator 17 will be available to download, in addition to the line-up of classic PS2 games remastered for PS4.

This feature will be gradually rolled out to users in September, so if you don’t see the feature on your PS Now app today, make sure to check back again soon.

Downloaded games will be available to enjoy in native resolution up to 4k and with 5.1 surround sound, plus they will support all user-purchased DLCs, micro transactions, add-ons, and PS4 Pro enhancements.

And remember, you do not need a PlayStation Plus subscription for online multiplayer on PS Now – which stays the same for both streaming and downloaded games.

Once you’ve downloaded a game it will be available to play offline.

Please note that you will need to connect your PS4 system to the internet once a week to verify your PS Now subscription, even if you’re only playing downloaded games.

For more information on this and further pieces like transferring saves between streamed and downloaded games, please see full FAQs.

PS Now has you covered whichever way you want to play.

Download a PS4 blockbuster and indulge your senses with stunning visuals and 5.1 surround sound.

Not sure which adventure to start next or want to just jump in? Stream instantly and get into a game in seconds.
