Winter is upon us and what better way to celebrate than with our brand new festive, frosty, and free game update for EVE: Valkyrie? The Gatecrash update includes a stunning new map named Gateway, that will put your combat and navigation skills to the test as you fly and fight around a partially constructed warp gate surrounded by iceteroids, in a vibrant polar-toned nebula.
This update also includes a feature that we’re been itching to deliver since launch: pilot customisation. The ultimate expression tool for any pilot or squad looking to stand out from the crowd in the clone vats and cockpits.
We’ve got good news for PS4 Pro owners too, since we’ve added some Pro-specific features to the game. Improvements include:
- Dynamic shadows (most noticeable in the cockpit, and clone vat)
- Increased Particle FX (and improved details)
- Increased resolution in all areas of the game
- Reduced loading times
There’s no need to alter anything in the settings menu, the patch is automatically applied when playing EVE: Valkyrie on a PS4 Pro. You’ll notice more of the finer details in nearly all areas of the game.
For all PS4 owners, we’ve also crammed in a ton of gameplay balancing tweaks, bug fixes and polished up many more features for usability. So, what are you waiting for? – Warm up those engines and watch out for icebergs.
Happy holidays & happy hunting.
