- PlayStation VR Worlds – Scavengers Odyssey trailer
Treasure hunting, beastie bashing and galaxy raiding – it’s a sci-fi archaeologist’s dream come true…. apart from the nasty creatures baying for your blood…

Around the world of PlayStation:
We don’t know why you’d want to smell South Park’s Fractured But Whole, however if you’re curious (or just crazy) enough to want to experience the forthcoming PS4 game in a new way, Ubisoft has you covered. The Nosulus Rift is a gaming wearable that lets you smell your character’s toxic… gassy excess. While it’s possible you won’t be able to try it out via normal means, as it may not be actually sold in shops, consider yourself duly warned.
This week’s PlayStation Store ‘leftfield’ pick:
Here’s a challenge: how many quirky and inventive sci-fi romance adventure games have been made our beloved medium? I’m willing to bet you’ll still have a few fingers left on a single hand (if you were actually counting on your hand). So the arrival of Alone With You on PS4 and PS Vita is a rather special occasion. Thoughtful, emotional and featuring a wonderfully eclectic soundtrack, go into this game blind and enjoy the starry eyed journey.
The pick of PlayStation Blog:
- A closer look at PlayStation VR Worlds’ sci-fi treasure hunt, Scavenger’s Odyssey
PlayStation VR Worlds’ deep space trek has been hiding away in the depths of a faraway nebula, but we snagged it for an in-depth look as its prepares to land in October. - How PlayStation VR Worlds was brought to life with extraordinary art
You’ve seen the beasts that you’ll be facing down in this fantastic looking PSVR title, so here’s a little beauty to help balance it out. - Just a brief reminder, all of our PlayStation VR Worlds goodies have been handily collected over at our Storify page.
- New Gravity Rush 2 characters and locations revealed

What we’re currently playing:
Rhys: “I’m making progress with No Man’s Sky; the creatures are getting weirder, the Sentinels are getting more aggressive, and I’m slipping into a life of piracy. Now I’ve beefed up my ship’s Photon Cannons, no freighter is safe.”
Corey: “Day of the Tentacle‘s got its sticky hooks back into me of late. Feels so good to be back in the mansion. Although it also kinda feels like déjà vu. Hmmm.”
Matt: “I’m currently trying to avoid being blown to smithereens in Divinity Original Sin‘s Black Cove – it’s addictive as hell!”
Tell us what you’re playing below, have a great weekend and see you on Monday.
