1. Ken takes his place in the Street Fighter 5 roster
Okay, so it would have been more of a surprise if the blonde bruiser hadn’t made an appearance in Street Fighter V. Nevertheless, it was pleasing to see his inclusion confirmed, and sporting a rather slick new look too.

2. July’s PlayStation Plus games arrive on PlayStation Store
This month’s batch of PS Plus games went live on Tuesday with bonkers genre mash-up Rocket League in particular turning heads. Not tried it out yet? Get on it now, along with Geometry Wars 3, Rain, Mousecraft, Styx: Master of Shadow and Entwined.
3. Wonderfully weird avian dating sim Hatoful Boyfriend gets a release date
Up for something a little different? Well, look no further than Hato Moa’s out-there cult favourite, set in a dystopian future where pigeons and people intermingle. It’s due out on PS4 and PS Vita on 21st July, and is utterly brilliant.
4. Cut some rug in Crypt of the Necrodancer
Also incoming from a little left of centre is Brace Yourself Games’ rhythm action roguelike, due on PS4 and PS Vita in the not too distant future. It’s one of the sharpest indies on the block, and well worth your attention.
5. Special edition Destiny PS4 unveiled
This week offered a first look at the exceedingly handsome custom Destiny PS4 that will be on shelves this September, to coincide with the release of The Taken King.
6. Journey pins down a PS4 release date
Heads up – thatgamecompany’s PS3 classic makes the leap to PS4 on 21st July, and it’s never looked better.
7. A fresh batch of games go on sale on PlayStation Store
We added a huge number of discounts to our ongoing Summer of Digital promotion this week, including the likes of Life Is Strange, LittleBigPlanet 3 and Don’t Starve: Giant Edition. Oh, and look out for a swathe of DLC savings too.
8. Atmospheric sci-fi adventure The Fall announced for PS4
How about this for a set up: you play as a futuristic combat suit’s AI, and are tasked with dragging your injured inhabitant to medical help. Find out how things pan out on 14th July.
9. Gauntlet: Slayer Edition is coming to PS4
Enjoyed Helldivers? Good news: developer Arrowhead Games’ next title – a revamp of the arcade classic Gauntlet – is on its way to PS4 with all manner of extra bells and whistles.
10. Helldivers’ Master of the Galaxy expansion deploys
Speaking of Helldivers, this week saw a massive update for Arrowhead’s delicious top-down shooter, adding a hefty slab of new content. What’s more, the game is getting a full retail release soon too!
