This year our long-running cult JRPG Tales Of series is celebrating its 20th anniversary. The games wouldn’t have been brought over without the fans’ unwavering support as we strive to please with each localised release.
This year’s release, Tales of Zestiria , is also a tribute to the series’ 20th anniversary, thanks to the unique collaboration of the four emblematic character designers who worked on the Tales of series: Mutsumi Inomata, Kosuke Fujishima, Minoru Iwamoto and Daigo Okumura.
Today. we’re happy to announce the game will feature dual voice-over for the first time in a major Tales Of release: Japanese and English!
Coming in Autumn 2015, Tales of Zestiria goes back to the series’ roots in terms of setting with its medieval environment, feeling of epic fantasy, and classic storytelling.
The game is set in the world of Glenwood, where tensions between the Hyland Kingdom and the Rolance Empire are rising. The story follows Sorey a young idealistic Human passionate with ancient history and inhabited with strong ideals. Sorey has to leave his village and discover the outside world and events will lead him to become the Shepherd: someone destined to bring people together in peace and harmony and fight against the malevolence that poisons the world. In a world torn by war and political skirmishes, Sorey will have to accept the burden of the Shepherd and fight human darkness to protect the world from malevolence and reunite humans and seraphims at all costs!
