After launching our MMORPG Black Desert only a couple of weeks ago, we’re happy to the game’s first massive update is out now. If you haven’t had a chance to check it out, here’s what you need to know:
1. Two new character classes
Have you found your favourite class yet? Unfortunately we’re about to make choosing your main a little harder, with the introduction of a duo of new classes.
If you prefer close-range combat then you should try out Musa, who specialises in quick and deadly combos built around a variety of oriental martial arts. Alternatively you could test your long-ranged magical attacks with the Dark Knight.
2. A new quest to partake in
Kzarka, the Lord of Corruption, has arrived as the new world boss within the world of Black Desert.
Sealed within a shrine in Serendia centuries ago by sacred magic, a suspicious group is now attempting his resurrection. For adventurers who face this dangerous foe and triumph, rewards await in the form of new, yellow-grade primary weapons.
3. The permanent return of a fan-favourite event
PS4 players have already shown their love for Node Wars, a PvP event that saw Guilds battle it out to control specific node locations before the clock ran out.
Well good news: the event will now be on permanent rotation! Having control of nodes at the end of this 25-100 player mode will see the victorious Guild receive gold from part of the worldwide tax collection.
4. Introducing Conquest Wars
Another PvP mode makes its debut with this update. This weekly PvP mode is larger in scale than even Node Wars.
Players are challenged with controlling the Balenos and Serendia territories by building Command Posts and defending their regions until there is just one Guild left standing. The victors can claim both the Balenos and Serendia territories, and will be awarded taxes from the entire region for that week.
There’s no better time to join other adventurers in Black Desert. You can download the game right now on PlayStation Store. Keep an eye out on our official channels for news on further updates in the near future!
