We’re back with a new selection of action-packed titles hitting PlayStation Store this week. Heal a post-apocalyptic world in RAD, go questing with friends in Black Desert or guide lost souls in Monkey King: Hero is Back.
Check out the highlights below and head over to PlayStation Store for more information on your next adventure.
RAD
Why it should be on your radar:
When one apocalypse isn’t enough, Double Fine Productions serves up a 3D action rogue-like set in a world ravaged twice by armageddon. It’s your job to heal this broken world – and bash a few monsters along the way.
The further you venture into this radioactive wasteland, toxins will wreak havoc on your body mutating you into something less human. Maybe you’ll become even more powerful?
Black Desert
Why it should be on your radar:
Give Black Desert a go if you’re up for some MMORPG action featuring fast-paced combat, deadly bosses and a huge world to explore with your friends.
Transform into whoever you want to be – from a mighty berserker with outrageous strength to a cunning ninja attacking from the shadows. And if you get tired of fighting, you can always take time off to focus on important life skills such as fishing, trading, crafting, cooking and more.
Remnant: From the Ashes
Why it should be on your radar:
If this dimension starts feeling a bit dull, you should fire up Gunfire Games’ RPG shooter. Create portals and journey into dynamically generated realms with constantly evolving maps, enemy encounters, quests and events.
These new worlds won’t be friendly, but you’ll have a wicked arsenal of guns, armour and modifications to help you fight hordes of vicious monsters.
Oninaki
Why it should be on your radar:
We’ve been keeping an eye on this new fantasy adventure inspired by golden-age Japanese RPGs from the team behind I Am Setsuna. Play as a mysterious young man known as the Watcher, guide Lost Souls into the next world and harness the power of Daemons, each representing different weapon types. Manage their skills and switch between them in real-time battles to land devastating blows on dangerous monsters.
NBA 2K20 demo
Why it should be on your radar:
If you’re excited about the next entry of 2K’s basketball sim, you can get a head start and hit the courts from 21st August. The demo will let you test MyCAREER and the new MyPLAYER Builder, allowing you to customise a character’s looks and playstyle. You’ll also be able to carry over your player to the full game when it launches.
This week’s new pre-orders
Monkey King: Hero is Back
Why it should be on your radar:
This hack-and-slash game – based on the animated film by the same name – combines Chinese mythology with flashy kung fu action. From 17th October you can explore new episodes not portrayed in the original film and take on the role of the Monkey King as he uses his superhuman strength to defeat unique enemies – and deepens the friendship with his companions along the way.
