VidZone update: ZAYN, Meghan Trainor, Tinie Tempah, Sia, Bring Me The Horizon, more!

In addition to our regular Artist Of The Week feature and Zone Highlights, this week’s VidZone update includes some fantastic new music videos catering for all tastes. This includes a visual double-whammy from ZAYN who just released his huge debut solo album, Mind Of Mine and ‘No’ the sassy first single from Meghan Trainor‘s forthcoming second album.

There’s plenty more, so read on for all the week’s info and watch the latest Video Highlights trailer above!

ZAYN

Artist Of The Week: ZAYN

Stepping out from the shadows of his former bandmates in One Direction, ZAYN has become the centre of attention across the globe. The young singer’s solo career has proved a staggering success with first single ‘Pillowtalk’ hitting No. 1 in more than a dozen countries including the US, with his debut album set to follow suit. VidZone has crowned him Artist Of The Week to coincide with the arrival of two new music videos for the track’s ‘iT’s YoU’ and ‘BeFoUr’ – both are slick and simple, one a very personal black and white concept with loneliness at the forefront and the other a laid-back look at the Bradford boy’s childhood, hanging out with friends.

MEGHAN-TRAINOR

Pop Zone

Ever since Meghan Trainor burst onto the scene with her doo-wop style and super-catchy debut single ‘All About That Bass’, the US singer’s popularity has skyrocketed. Her hugely-anticipated new album, Thank You is due out in a couple of months but until then she has whetted fans’ appetites with ‘NO’, a playfully devilish pop anthem channelling early 00’s Britney Spears! You can watch the music video in her Artist Focus playlist alongside all of her previous hits.

  • Meghan Trainor – ‘NO’
  • ZAYN – ‘BeFoUr’ / ‘iT’s YoU’
  • Sia – ‘Cheap Thrills (Performance Edit)’
  • Fifth Harmony Ft. Ty Dolla $ign – ‘Work from Home’

TINIE-TEMPAH

Hip-Hop Zone

It’s been three whole years since London born and bred hip-hop star Tinie Tempah gave us a full-length album. So thank goodness he’s back! ‘Girls Like’ is the first single to be taken from his as-yet untitled new album and is a bona fide deep house-tinged banger. Featuring vocals from rising Swedish pop sensation Zara Larsson, VidZone recommends that you check out the accompanying, colourful music video which sees Tinie hit the streets of Cape Town, South Africa.

  • Tinie Tempah Ft. Zara Larsson – ‘Girls Like’
  • Future Ft. The Weeknd – ‘Low Life’
  • A$AP Ferg Ft. ScHoolboy Q – ‘Let It Bang’
  • Yo Gotti Ft. Pusha T – ‘Hunnid’

BRING-ME-THE-HORIZON

Rock Zone

Sheffield’s Bring Me The Horizon return with the fourth single and music video from their critically-acclaimed fifth album, That’s The Spirit. The NSFW visual is a scary, apocalyptic look at the world which works in contrast to the song’s light-hearted, pop rock melody and romantic lyrics. Check it out now in their Artist Spotlight playlist and remind yourself of the quintet’s brilliant video back catalogue incl. 2014’s demonic-possession caper ‘Drown’ and the epic wintry landscape of ‘Shadow Moses’.

  • Bring Me The Horizon – ‘Follow You’
  • Papa Roach – ‘Falling Apart’
  • Nothing But Thieves – ‘Excuse Me’
  • PVRIS – ‘You And I’
