Everything you need to know about the PlayStation 4 Events app

Do you think you’ve mastered your favourite games? Are you looking for a new challenge? Then we’ve got just the thing for you.

Events is a brand new PlayStation 4 feature that launched this week with system software update 3.00. It lets you join players in the latest online multiplayer challenges and tournaments, and invites you to tune in to special gameplay broadcasts.

Taking part really couldn’t be easier. Just go into the Events app on your home screen to see which events are coming up − including our hand-picked recommendations just for you.

Register for any you fancy taking part in, or share the details with your friends on Facebook or Twitter.

Here are just some of the great Events we have lined up for you:

• FIFA 16 ‘Team of the Week’ (until 7/10)
• Project Cars ‘Nürburgring GT3 Contest’ (2/10 to 10/10)
• Hardware Rivals Beta ‘4 Wheels Only’ (2/10 to 3/10)
• Driveclub ‘Double Fame’ (2/10 to 5/10)
• War Frame ‘Project Undermine’ (2/10 to 5/10)
• Battle Islands ‘World War Weekend’ (2/10 to 9/10)
• F1 2015 ‘Sodi Autodrom’ (5/10 to 14/10)
• Magicka 2 ‘Grilled Cheese’ (3/10 to 11/10)
