Roses are red, violets are blue, VidZone has an update especially for you! Sorry about the poetry but either way if you love or loathe Valentine’s Day, we still have a great update this week that includes new music videos from big names like Kanye West, Charli XCX and Ne-Yo. PLUS we have a special treat in the form of brand NEW video playlists specially chosen by a great new bunch of “cool kids”…
Read on for all the info and watch the latest Highlights trailer above to see what else is noteworthy this week!
Artist of the Week: Kanye West
We never saw it coming but American rapper/songwriter/producer extraordinaire Kanye West has indeed collaborated with British rock royalty, Paul McCartney on several new tracks including ‘Only One’. This particular song is a loving tribute to his daughter, North and the video was directed by the legendary Spike Jonze. Check out the beautiful clip now which sees the father and daughter spending some quality time together. You can also watch all of the hip-hop star’s previous hits in his Artist Of The Week Playlist including ‘Bound 2′ and the Watch The Throne collaborations with Jay Z including ‘N**** in Paris’ and ‘Otis’.
Pop Zone
Her debut album was called True Romance and the cover of her new album, Sucker has a heart-shaped lollipop. So that’s enough proof for us that Charli XCX is a must-listen for the most romantic month of the year! The British singer’s dark pop style has previously caught the eye of Iggy Azalea and Icona Pop but more recently Rita Ora as they have teamed up on her latest single ‘Doing It’. Watch the duo get up to mischief in the desert in the new video and check out the rest of her video catalogue in her Artist Focus Playlist.

Echosmith – Valentine’s Day playlists
Californian indie-pop newcomers Echosmith exploded onto the music scene last year with their bright and breezy single ‘Cool Kids’ and now the group have kindly created two Valentine’s Day Playlists for VidZone featuring their favourite love-themed music videos!
Check out the Valentine’s Day Playlist with “Music to make you feel love” featuring the likes of John Legend, Michael Bublé and Paramore. And the Anti-Valentine’s Day Playlist for “Music to help with another Valentine’s Day being single” featuring Katy Perry, No Doubt and Gotye.
So however you’re spending 14th February, VidZone has you covered!
RnB Zone
VidZone welcomes the return of RnB star Ne-Yo with Non-Fiction, his latest album since 2012. Much like most of the singer’s tunes, new single ‘Coming With You’ is an upbeat pop anthem which will undoubtedly have you dancing in your seat. We’re recommending you check out the colourful beach-set music video and watch other Ne-Yo classics including ‘Let Me Love You’, ‘Beautiful Monster’ and ‘Closer’.
