Machete, baseball bat or kitchen knife (yes those are verbs) your way through the apocalypse in this hugely addictive RPG romp across Papau New Guinea. With expansive maps to explore and tonnes of loot to get your hands on – you’ll be bitten smitten with this horror classic.

The Walking Dead Season 1 + 2

This uniquely styled, critically acclaimed, choose your own adventure hit from Telltale Games is another must-play this Halloween. Centred around an intense storyline and memorable characters, your choices have consequences so hopefully you won’t be haunted by them…

MLB The Show 17 welcomes Ken Griffey Jr. back to gaming in March 2017

For anyone who picked up a baseball glove or a video game controller in the last 25 years, there is no other name more synonymous with the sport than this year’s cover athlete for MLB The Show 17.

Destined for greatness, no player entered the Big League with more hype than the first pick of the 1987 MLB draft, and no player entered baseball’s Hall of Fame with a higher percentage of the vote than “The Natural.” A legend both on and off the field, “The Kid” inspired a generation of baseball fans with electric play, a contagious smile, enviable flair, and a swing that’s been imitated but never duplicated for almost three decades.

Almost twenty years since his last appearance in a baseball video game, Ken Griffey Jr. returns to the digital diamond as the cover athlete of MLB The Show 17.

Thanks to baseball video games, millions of people around the world have become enamoured with America’s Pastime. Perhaps nobody will ever be able to re-create Griffey’s signature swing in real life, but we can’t wait to introduce “Junior” as a playable living legend in The Show 17.

New Robinson: The Journey video focuses on character, creatures and curiosity

We recently announced an 8th November release date for Robinson: The Journey, and after all the hard work the team has put in, it’s an incredible feeling to know we’re now only a few weeks away from launch.

Today, we’re sharing the third video in our dev diary series to give you a closer look at how we’ve populated the rich game world you’ll soon be able to experience for yourself.

Right from the outset of development, we wanted to capture the childlike wonder of imagining a world filled with dinosaurs. VR gives us the power to bring that feeling home in spectacular style, and it was up to us to think creatively about how we could invoke a sense of awe not just when you pull the PlayStation VR headset on for the first time, but right throughout the Robinson universe.

We focused on filling our setting – the extrasolar planet of Tyson III – with a huge variety of creatures – some big, some small, some harmless, some… not so harmless. We wanted this world to feel rich and alive, worthy of your curiosity at every turn, so we’ve made sure there’s plenty of diversity in the ecosystem.

We’ve also invested a lot of energy in the interplay between your two most trusted companions – AI unit HIGS and baby T-Rex Laika. HIGS has something of a “two’s company” ethos where Laika’s concerned, and the give-and-take between the three of you adds an extra layer of depth and personality to your adventure.

As we approach launch day for Robinson, everyone on the team shares the feeling that the game has exceeded our original expectations. Exploring how the power of VR enables us to sustain a wow factor across every inch of Tyson III has been an exciting, eye-opening experience – and we hope the journey of discovery we’ve been on will shine through when you fire up the game and play for yourself in a few weeks!

Enjoy The Last Guardian’s music via exclusive app and special vinyl releases

As ardent fans of Fumito Ueda’s past games can attest, the audio element of his projects – both sound and music – play a vital role in immersing the player in a rich fantasy world. Many gamers who hear the theme from the 13th boss in Shadow of the Colossus, for example, will immediately recall standing atop a sprinting Agro in pursuit of a gigantic snake-like creature soaring over a barren desert.

The aural presentation in The Last Guardian is no less crucial for achieving the full experience of exploring this new world with Trico.

Determinedly composed, orchestrated, and conducted by Takeshi Furukawa and gracefully orchestrated by the London Symphony Orchestra, Trinity Boys Choir, and London Voices at Air Studios, the music of The Last Guardian is laden with emotion and oft-times haunting. It powerfully complements the story of this boy and creature, alone amidst ancient ruins, discovering each other as they seek a path to freedom.

We’re happy to announce that a The Last Guardian Composer’s Choice PS4 Music App, featuring 19 tracks from the game, will be available separately at launch via the PlayStation Store. The soundtrack app supports both stereo and surround playback, and also allows users to export all the tracks as stereo MP3 files via a compatible USB drive.

For audiophiles and collectors, a Vinyl release of the OST will be available in December. We’ll have an update on exact release timing and pricing at a later date.

Lastly, for owners of PlayStation headsets, an exclusive mode for The Last Guardian will deliver a fine-tuned audio experience engineered for maximum immersion. If you own a PlayStation headset compatible with the Headset Companion App, be sure to download and activate this special mode when you play!

First look at two new licensed pro controllers for PS4

We are excited to give you a first look at the Razer Raiju and Nacon Revolution, two officially licensed pro controllers coming to the SIEE region for PS4 this year.

To give our competitive and pro players more choice, we invited Razer and Nacon to use their knowledge and expertise in developing eSports peripherals to design two unique pro controllers for PS4.

Through close collaboration we’ve been able to help optimise each controller for PS4 – incorporating innovative Dualshock 4 controls and ensuring gamers can enjoy a plug & play experience with any model of PS4.

As you can see, and read about in more detail below, each controller offers a different layout and range of unique features – so competitive gamers can find one which best compliments and adapts to their unique gameplay style.

Razer Raiju

The Razer team’s extensive knowledge in developing eSports peripherals made them an ideal partner to create a tournament-grade controller for PS4.

Designed for conquering professional eSports tournaments, the Razer Raiju is equipped with advanced controller customisation and ergonomics. Its features include:

• Two extra bumpers and two extra detachable triggers

• Four custom profiles – all configurable via the companion PC application, enabling players to: re-map buttons, assign macros to the four shortcut controls and adjust analog and trigger sensitivity
• Two internal compartments with six additional weights – for a tailored balance and feel
• Compatibility with all PS4 systems via the 3m-long secure connection USB cable – detachable for easy storage
